About Stellly

Stellly is an independent astronomy reference for beginner and casual stargazers. We publish plain-language guides to the things you can actually find in the night sky — the Moon and planets, constellations, deep-sky objects, and the events worth staying up for.

Every guide follows the same structure: an overview, what the object is and where to find it, how to observe it, its history and discovery, key facts and measurements, common misconceptions, and frequently asked questions. Our aim is to help you find and enjoy the night sky with your eyes, binoculars, or a small telescope.

Stellly is strictly an astronomy reference. We do not cover astrology, horoscopes, or any form of pseudoscience, and we are not affiliated with any telescope maker or retailer.
